Designed by Sparkman and Stephens and built by Nautor Swan - what a combination! The Swan 36 was the first Swan sailing yacht ever produced and for me certainly one of the most beautiful.
Around 90 boats were built and this was a great period for technical innovation in yacht design with the 36 benefitting from a separated rudder and keel. In 1967 she was labelled a 'fearsome racing machine' by yachting journalists and she still is, not just amongst the classic fleets but this boat has class wins in JOG inshore and offshore series and completed two Fastnet races.

The Sweden 36 is truly beautiful much like her sisters. This yacht appears to be in good condition especially inside. Yes she has teak decks which you might think of sanding and re-caulking but there is usually loads of deck to work with.
Her rigging was replaced in 2016 and her last engine service 2024. She is a lot of boat very spacious inside with lots of storage and a nice big cockpit. She comprises of 2 double cabins, purposeful nav station, well appointed galley and a very good sized saloon plus nice size heads up forward.

This is a nicely kept boat that the owner has owned in excess of 20 years. A good example of a Snapdragon, these sailing boats were designed for families and are therefore built very well and give a pleasant sailing experience. Shipbuilding started at the Whitehall Shipyard in Whitby around 1700, under the ownership of Thomas Turnbull and Son. They began with building wooden sailing ships but they continued for almost 3 centuries designing and building smaller vessels, especially for the harsh North Sea conditions and often for commercial use.
